The 7 Pot Jonah chilies come from the Caribbean and belong to the Capsicum chinense family. This chili variety is one of the hottest in the world, with a heat level of 10+ (between 800,000 and 1,200,000 Scoville SHU). From April or May, the seedlings can be planted in the garden or in pots. The plant grows bushy and reaches a height of up to 120 cm. The fruits ripen from green through orange to red and have an aromatic, fruity flavour. Difficulty: growing 7 Pot Jonah chili plants is for experienced growers. If planted in the garden, the plants should be spaced about 80 cm apart. Caution: it is very important to wear gloves when harvesting and processing the fruits.

This is possibly the best chilli sauce I've ever had, loads of fruit from all the berries, and a real kick from the Scorpions. Particularly good with wild boar and venison.
