Aji Cristal Chili Seeds (10 pcs)

The plant should be placed in full sun to sun, but it also tolerates partial shade. It can be planted in the garden or greenhouse and can also be kept indoors. The distance between plants should be at least 45 - 60 cm. If you grow it in a pot, cut it back by 20 cm after harvest to overwinter it and place it in a bright spot at a minimum of 15 °C.

The flavour of the 7-9 cm long fruits varies depending on the stage of growth: if the fruits are left to ripen fully, they develop a spicy heat. If they are harvested when the colour starts to change from yellow to orange, they develop a sweet and fruity, almost smoky and tangy flavour. The ripening time of the fruits is 75-90 days. Their shape resembles small bananas: they hang downwards, are conical and slightly curved. Especially in the yellowish-green stage, when the aroma is said to be at its strongest, Aji Cristal chilies are great for pickling or grilling with garlic oil.

They also give fresh salsas or cooked sauces an incomparable aroma. The plant is easy to grow and extremely productive. It is ideal for staggered harvesting. Simply pick the largest pods and you can enjoy the yield all season long.
