Trinidad Scorpion Chocolate comes from Trinidad and Tobago and is a variant of the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga. The pods ripen to chocolate brown, are slightly larger than those of the red Moruga and can be recognised by the sting at the tip – although the shape of the fruit can vary considerably. Extremely hot: an average of 1,207,764 SHU, with peak values of over 2 million. Its aroma is very fruity and slightly smokier than other varieties – ideal for adding heat to sauces, drying and making powder.
