El Jefe 7 Pot Strain is a limited-edition hot sauce made from selected 7 Pot Brain Strain chillies grown near Amsterdam. This chilli has a lovely habanero and citrus flavour and is very hot. The fruitiness of the chillies is underlined by papaya, carrot and lime. Further savoury ingredients such as onions give this hot sauce a Caribbean note. Delicious with fish, rice dishes or chicken.

The heat of around 90,000 Scoville builds slowly but steadily and lingers for a long time.
Every year, El Jefe's Picante Club grows a special chilli in their greenhouse in Amsterdam. And every year they harvest it and turn it into a single batch of hot sauce. In one especially good year, 150 bottles were made with the "feature" chilli of the 2021 season: the 7 Pot Brain Strain. It is a very hot pepper (one pod is enough to make 7 pots of food spicy), which together with a little papaya makes a killer sauce. Be warned, this one is very hot!

This is possibly the best chilli sauce I've ever had, loads of fruit from all the berries, and a real kick from the Scorpions. Particularly good with wild boar and venison.
