It was originally meant to be a mango sauce for a beer called "Pale Four" and to carry the name "Apocalypse". A year after the pandemic began, and after numerous cooking trials, the mango was dropped and pineapple took centre stage. The Scotch Bonnet chilies give the sauce a heat that feels like it's slashing your throat – just as the "Grim Reaper" would.
Before it went on sale, Grim Reaper entered the sauce in the Screaming Mimi Awards in New York City (2021) and won the "Hot Fruit" category straight away!

This is possibly the best chilli sauce I've ever had, loads of fruit from all the berries, and a real kick from the Scorpions. Particularly good with wild boar and venison.
