Jalapeños are grown throughout Mexico during the summer months. The fruits have the traditional jalapeño shape; their firm flesh turns bright orange to red as it ripens, and the skin is wrinkled while the fruits are not yet fully ripe.
The Barajas is very high-yielding, offers a long season and is very disease-resistant. The fruits can be harvested at any time before being processed into hot sauce or other products. The average height is 50–80 cm, depending on whether it is grown indoors or outdoors.

This is possibly the best chilli sauce I've ever had, loads of fruit from all the berries, and a real kick from the Scorpions. Particularly good with wild boar and venison.
